Ongoing project

Plamont.be

Corporate Website

Project Type:
Corporate showcase website, fully developed during my professional experience at Skydoo.

Real-world Challenges

  • Maquette: 4 hours

  • Development: 20 hours

  • Go-live deadline: 3 months

Tight deadlines combined with the need to balance strong visual communication with an extensive product catalog.

Project Overview

What is Plamont?

Plamont is a Belgian company specialized in the sale and installation of sliding doors, fire-resistant doors, automatic doors, and technical closure systems.

The goal was to create a clean, visually impactful website to showcase products, build credibility, and facilitate direct contact with potential clients.

My Role

  • UX/UI Design

  • Full website development (WordPress + Elementor)

  • Custom HTML/CSS coding

Key Design Solutions

Strategic choice: Fixed side menu

I deliberately chose to design a fixed side menu to avoid conflicts with the full-screen visual communication on the homepage.

Given the large number of products, a classic mega-menu would have been intrusive and less elegant.
The side menu ensures:

  • Immediate navigation for returning users.

  • Quick access to the entire catalog without interfering with the visual focus.

  • Consistent and sophisticated design across all pages.

Designed UX Flow

  • Instant credibility: the company’s experience is immediately highlighted through a large hero image.

  • Dynamic counters: animated counters display the number of projects and years of experience to build trust.

  • Clear specializations: dedicated section to showcase the company’s core services.

  • Always-visible call to action: users can contact the company at any time without navigating through multiple pages.

  • Exploration-friendly catalog: users can freely browse the product list via the side menu.

Responsive Design

  • The side menu remains visible and functional on mobile devices, preserving the same user experience across all platforms.
I intentionally avoided transforming it into a classic hamburger menu to:

    • Keep quick access to the product catalog.

    • Maintain visual clarity and identity.

    • Offer a smooth, recognizable interaction even on smaller screens.

Advanced Feature

Multi-step Contact Form

To offer tailored quotes for custom projects, I implemented a multi-step contact form that guides users step-by-step.

  • Select project type and materials.

  • Input custom measurements (height, width, number of openings).

  • Choose finishes and submit the request.

This feature improves customer experience and provides the company with well-structured requests, streamlining the sales process.

UX Benefits:

  • Clear progressive steps: users are guided through the form, reducing cognitive load and potential errors.

  • Quick, precise quotes: users can select project type, materials, and dimensions in real-time.

  • Mobile optimized: fully usable on smartphones with a seamless experience.

Visual Design

  • Full-width, high-impact images for instant communication.

  • Clean layout, no text walls.

  • Downloadable PDF product sheets.

  • Fully responsive design.
